MES is designed to monitor itself to let you know of potential problems before they occur. MES captures and translates shop floor events into meaningful information, and makes this information immediately available on the floor itself and throughout the enterprise. This information is continually compared with performance criteria you set and MES proactively alerts you to conditions that fall outside your specified criteria.
